The salon is located portside. Aft a breakfast or formal dining table with seating for four is located immediately port of the galley. Forward in the main salon is a large cream color L shaped “leather like” sofa to port with a pull out bed under the sofa. To Starboard is another matching “leather like” sofa with storage below.

Aft to Port and 3 steps down is the large aft-located Owners Main Stateroom
At the step base, to port, are mirrored doors of a cedar-lined closet. The Master Stateroom features a queen bed with a large window behind the bed creating a light, open and welcoming appearance. Starboard of the bed is a seating area and drawers for storage; there is also overhead storage over a counter. Forward in the master are more drawers and mirrored shelving area with flat screen TV. Master has recessed lighting and its own air conditioning zone. With the large window aft and lightwood the area is bright. To starboard is the head with a Vacuflush head, an extra large walk in shower, sink with storage below and mirrored four-door medicine cabinet above.
Walking forward, up the 3 steps and through the salon is the Captains study or communication center.
Captains Study From the Salon Forward 3 steps down is the Captains office/ study with desk and chair. This area also features the entertainment center with flat screen TV with DVD player. There is empty shelving where you can install your personal full audio video stereo sound center. Directly behind the Captain study, to starboard is a door which access’s a large head. This head serves the salon area and the forward stateroom has a private access door. The head also features:
- Overhead hatch for lighting.

Forward Stateroom The forward stateroom has a queen bed with drawers to starboard side and to port a two door mirrored hanging locker (cedar lined) This area also features a wood floor, flat screen TV, three overhead Bomar hatches for lighting and independent air conditioning. Your guests will enjoy privacy and comfort.
Engine Room The engine room is aft and down two steps from the Captains study. . There are really two areas aft one being the laundry center with washer/dryer combo, drawers for storage and countertop. The Washer/dryer is older (it works, but new owners might chose to replace).
Thru the other door is the engine room with a 5 ft. head clearance.

Based on the same premise of economic, comfortable cruising at highly affordable prices, this boat will be sure to capture the heart of serious cruisers worldwide. Mainship engineers and designers have utilized every available space in the boat to offer a centerline queen berth master stateroom, full head with stall shower and a salon large enough to entertain in. The galley includes a two-burner propane range, microwave oven, coffee maker and refrigerator and freezer. Countertops are genuine Corian and all hardware and fixtures are first-class. The covered aft deck includes molded steps to the bridge for safe and easy access. The upper helm station carries full instrumentation, and there is plenty of room for electronics as well. The proven hull design is easily driven by the standard single diesel. A full sand shoe protects the single screw model. We presently own a beautiful well maintained 2009 34’ Mainship. (2nd owners) 14’-3” Beam, 3’-4” draft, 20,000 dry weight, 250 gallon fuel tank, 70 gallon fresh water tank, 34 gallon holding tank. The main engine is a Single Yanmar 6LY3-UTP series diesel turbo charged/aftercooled diesel engine with electronic controls with only 546 hours. The generator is a Kohler 9EOZD 9.0 kw with approximately 150 hours. The boat has a lower and upper helm. (2) Raymarine C90 multifunction units with chartplotter, sounder, 4 KW digital radar, and overlays. Simrad AP24 autopilot. Raymarine Ray 215 DSC VHF radio on flybridge with secondary VHF on lower helm. Lewmar V-series 12VDC windlass in foredeck locker, with foot switches on foredeck and remote control at each helm. Bow and stern thrusters with upper and lower helm controls and handheld remote. Two MarineAir self-contained reverse cycle units are provided, each with digital zone control. VTD8K, 8,000 BTU units. (State room recently replaced). Full Bimini enclosure. New Bimini top installed 2021 along with various isinglass replaced. Magma grill on flybridge along with (never used) Force 10 (2) burner LPG stove/oven located in galley. LPG locker with (2) alloy tanks, solenoid, regulator, and leak test gauge on sun deck. In the 1990s, Mainship reintroduced its trawler line with two new models: a 35- and 39-footer, delivering more than 300 boats in five years.
Morgan Industries, parent company of Mainship, Luhrs, Silverton, and Hunter Sailboats filed for bankruptcy in May, 2012.

The Mainship boats for sale today are heirs to a long and storied history that began in the 1830s when Henry Luhrs emigrated from Germany to New York City and opened a boat supply and equipment store in the harbor district.
Following in Grandfather’s Steps
Inspired by his grandfather’s success, Henry Luhrs Jr., trained to be a shipbuilder, and eventually opened a yard in Morgan, New Jersey. It was the 1920s, around the same time Henry Ford began mass producing automobiles. Henry Luhrs figured Ford’s assembly line techniques would work for boats as well. It did. And not only did the standardized production process reduce costs, it sped up output. Pretty soon, Henry Luhrs Sea Skiff Company was turning out more than 100 of its wide-beam trawlers a month.
Less Expensive But More Economical: Building the Ideal Cruiser
When the fuel crisis hit in the early ‘70s, Henry Jr.s’ sons, John and Warren, switched gears and began building more fuel-efficient cruising boats that would appeal to the masses. These single diesel-engine trawlers in the 34-foot to 40-foot range were less expensive, more economical to run and ideal for overnight cruising, day cruising and saltwater fishing. The brothers launched a 34-foot Mainship boat in 1978 – the first of many under the new Mainship Corporation banner. In the next 10 years, more than 900 Mainship boats were built on the 34 hull as well as 500 of the 30, 36 and 40-foot models.
Mainship boat quality and affordability made the brand so popular the company outgrew its facilities and had to relocate not once but twice: first to Marlboro, New Jersey, and then to St. Augustine, Florida (1992). Hundreds of these “vintage” or used Mainship boats as far back as 1977 are for sale and still riding the waves today.
A new era
When David Marlow acquired Mainship Boats in 2012, he did so with the idea of combining Mainship’s very best design concepts with the new high-tech ideas and techniques that make his Marlow yachts so successful. His goal: Quality at every stage at a competitive price. Two of the improvements he immediately introduced to the Mainship Pilot 31, 32, 34, 37 models were making them wood-free by replacing the balsa coring in the hull with Nida-Core, which resulted in a stronger, lighter hull that did not retain water, and using a better quality gelcoat.
Mainship Pilot 32
In 2014, Marlow launched hull #1 of the newly styled Mainship Pilot 32. The innovative construction, which is significantly different from the original, produces stronger, lighter hulls and uses Kevlar and carbon fiber to reinforce high-stress areas. Improvements to its gelcoat and resin quality, superior fabrics and Nida-Core material above the waterline reflect the vigorous standards to which the 32-foot Mainship is built. In fact, the MM 32 is the only 32-foot powerboat built that is classed CE Offshore Ocean Class A. For couples or small families looking for an affordable cruising boat that is seaworthy, comfortable, high-performing yet economical to operate, the 32-foot Mainship boat is the hands-down winner.
Mainship Pilot 34
The 34-foot Mainship pilot boat is the second open salon build in the new Marlow lineup. Its overall length is four inches shy of 40 feet. It has a fuel capacity of 280 gallons and is powered by a standard 320 hp Yanmar diesel engine. Optional engine configurations include twin 220s or 260s. An upper salon with lots of seating, easy access to the engine room, a port side galley with countertops galore, teak cabinets and flooring, forward cabin v-berth and generous storage are just a few of the features you’ll find on the 34-foot Mainship pilot boats for sale today.
Mainship Pilot 31
The 31-foot Mainship Pilot, launched by Marlow in 2016, is the third new model in the MM lineup. Plus, the pilothouse has an overhead hardtop that protects cruisers from sun and rain.
